The Crimson Laureate envisions setting up an animal blood bank in North India, where science and compassion would unite to save animal lives. A systematic journey from ancient transfusion beliefs to modern veterinary transfusion science is discussed. There is a promise of species-specific, infection-screened blood availability for all the creatures great and small.
